Pregnancy Update Week 24/25 & Hong Kong Trip!

Sorry for the lack of updates people! Have been busy planning my trip to Hongkong, travelling, meeting friends and spending time with the hubby before he goes to Taiwan for his training in one week's time. Also, have been reading up about pregnancy and getting ready to draft up my birth plan!

Okay, Hongkong trip!!

Our flight to Hongkong was exactly one night after his flight back from Brunei, so basically we were at the airport those two nights! We took Tigerair again this time since it was just a short flight of 3 hours and 50 mins, and costs us only about 400+ for a two-way trip!

Since this is the fourth time I'm in hongkong, I'm pretty familiar with the MTR and with the help of maps, I was able to locate our hotel in no time! We bought the Octopus card since we will be travelling by train most of the time!

We stayed in Metropark Mongkok Hotel, which is about 3 mins walk from Prince Edward MTR station. It was quite disappointing though! The room is so much smaller than the room I stayed last year when I visited HK! But still, it was at a very good location, and it is a pretty good price for a room with bathtub. About 112SGD per night. After checking-in and resting up, we head out to look for Timhowan!! We didn't have 3G so searching for places without google maps was shitty lol!

This TimHowan is located near Sham Shui Po MTR Station, and is located at 9-11 Fuk Wing Street.

Took us awhile to find, and apparently, not as popular in HK as it is in Singapore! (About 10 minutes walk from the MTR)

There! FINALLY WE WERE ABLE TO FILL OUR STOMACHS!

I didn't sleep in the plane the whole time, and the night before I only had 2 hours of sleep. I looked so shag!!! I couldn't even bother putting make up lol!

Food wise.. I would say it is rather comparable to Singapore. Infact, hubby prefered Singapore's Timhowan to Hongkong's Authentic Timhowan. Hahaha.

I personally think that the baked bun was better in HK though! Their Roasted pork has more fats as compared to singapore, and their meat was in chunks instead of small pieces.

But there was a huge difference in price as compared to Singapore. We spent only about 17SGD for this amount of food! If it was in SG, I think it would have cost us about at least 35SGD?

After that we went back to the area around our Hotel, Mongkok for shopping, just to take a look at some clothes (since I can't fit into any, so I didn't buy :(!! ) I bought a cap though! And dear hubby bought me a new Dior perfume at DFS!!

After a few hours of shopping we decided to settle dinner at some local chachanteng!

I super enjoy drinking their HK style milk tea all the time, and what is very popular over there is their red bean milk tea. You can find them everywhere!
After that, we walked around the area, bought some food and head back to hotel for an early night. During the 5D4N, without fail I will make Joey buy me the 酸辣粉! Which was SUPER GOOD. Spicy, sour and tasty! The photo of it is in Joey's phone (which was my old phone) right now so I can't show you but it was really damn good! And not forgetting Gongcha. Hehe. At night we still went to buy some Macdonalds and Sashimi back to the hotel!

The next day, DISNEYLAND! Our initial plan was to go Macau, but we figured that it would take too much walking and that the ferry ride might not be very safe for me if we were to encounter rough waves and all. So yup we went to disneyland instead! My fourth time in HK disneyland lol!!

Which part of this photo looks like I'm 5 months pregnant? HEHE.

I'm sorry hubs, my cap just makes me look slightly taller than you! Hahaha.

There were supposed to be photos taken in the Disney train but it was all in his phone and he lost it that night :( So yup..

It was his very first time in Disneyland! Or rather the only time that he actually remember going. The past few times he went was when he was really young, so he couldn't recall.

This is probably the last time, we will come Hongkong during this season because the weather was TERRIBLY HOT!! Like super unbearable kind! I was two or three times hotter than Singapore can! So we kept looking for like air conditioned rides or place to go into lol!

Hubby looking silly hahaha.

OLAF!! They were selling all the Frozen themed items, even Elsa and Anna's outfit in the movie!

Okay can, I'm just round. I LOOK LIKE A BALL.

We took another nicer one with our selfie stick but it was in his already-lost phone :(!!

Trying really hard to keep ourselves cool in the hot weather!!
Oh :( And hongkong people isn't really nice at all, they don't give up seats to pregnant woman, and they push you like nobody's business. Esp all the mainland china people!! Keep cutting our queue and all. Super annoying!

Hubby is jealous cause Pooh was holding on to my hand so tightly and wanted to take me away from him HAHAHA.

<3 font="">

But I gotta say, he really sacrificed alot for me this trip! Cause I can't go for much rides other than those safe ones, so he forsake his chance to take those rides too!

Baby K joining us for 3D too HAHA. (WILL ANNOUNCE HIS NEW NAME LATERR :D! )

Smooch!

That's all the photos we took in Disneyland! We were more focus on resting and finding something to buy at the later part of the day, cause my legs just wouldn't budge anymore!! I was TOO TIRED to walk.

But we did manage to wait till the fireworks started before we left Disneyland :) And that was when he lost his phone, which he only found out later in the train on the way back. I went to the toilet before the fireworks started, and I guess he was too excited about the fireworks so he stood up from the floor, not knowing that his phone was on his lap.

DAY 3- OCEAN PARK!

Before we went to the ocean park, we had breakfast at this place, which my friend Mandy recommended, and say that it is a must visit place when you go to Hongkong!
This place is called Australian Dairy Company, and is located near Jordan MTR, 47-49 Parkes Street. 5 mins walk from the MTR!

Look at the crazy long queue! We were quite lucky that we bumped into his friend Ziyuan, and they were next in line so we managed to get seats together hehehe.

It was in their set meal, which tasted OKAY only.

Ziyuan and his girlfriend!

And us with our breakfast! Their eggs and pudding all that were to die for! Very worth trying hehe.
And next!! My third time at Ocean park. Again, the weather was crazy hot, and because of the crowd we had to queue under the hot sun to get in to visit the aquarium etc. Super annoyingggg.
He was very grumpy that day -_-

Didn't snap much pictures at the Ocean Park, but I did take a photo of the iconic Panda hahaha.

We looked at some animals, skipped those rides, took the cable car to and fro, and left Ocean Park at about 2 plus 3! TOO HOTTT! And plus my legs didn't wanna walk anymore!

Dear wanted to buy this and put in the car but I got so used to hugging it to sleep in Hongkong that I placed it at home instead hehe.

After that, we got back to the hotel for a 2-3 hour nap, before heading out to Avenue of Stars to see the Symphony of lights, Skyline is amazing, but the symphony of lights? Nothing much.

Please excuse my very vulgar looking boobs lol. It's the pregnancy. Haha.
OH AND THIS IS THE 酸辣粉 I was talking about!!! I managed to find the picture. lol. Effing amazing!! :( Looking at this picture makes me hungry and crave for it luh!!

And so... the night ended from there. I went back to the hotel to shower and get ready for bed, while the very diligent husband went out to get dinner for me. heehehe.

The next day, our plan was to just shop in the afternoon and visit the peak at night!

Had breakfast at ONE dimsum, which is located at playing field road, very near Exit A of Prince Edward MRT!  VERY GOOD LA THEIR DIMSUM. Better than the Timhowan in Hongkong. hahaha.
My dearest Leah was in Hongkong too and so we decided to meet up for lunch! That's her friend Jenna :)
After that, it was just shopping around Causeway Bay, and this happy father-to-be bought his newbalance shoes that he wanted to get for a damn long time.  (I still think it is very awful looking HAHA but well, it is his money so I let him be!) But guess what I bought? MILK BOTTLES LOL. Cause the Medela bottles were cheaper as compared to in Singapore. :P

Taken after shopping at a local dessert shop named Hui Lau Shan?
During the evening we met Leah and her friends for dinner again, supposed to visit the peak together after that but I was just too tired. I didn't wanna walk more cause I was not supposed to over-exert my body.

BUT GUESS WHAT LUCKILY WE DIDN'T GO LOR. Leah told us the queue was mad long and had to at least wait for 3 hours to get to the tram. SO YESSS LUCKY US. We went back to the hotel to rest after that!

The last day was a very short day, cause we had to be at the airport at about 4.45pm, so we went to eat ONE dimsum again, went to the shoes' street around Mongkok to get another pair of Newbalance shoe he liked, and then went back to Argyle Centre for shopping. I bought two caps in total for this trip, that's better than nothing right? Hahaha

Waiting for seats outside ONE dimsum!

In the cab and on our way to the airport! :D

Yes, my hubby still do silly things like that hahaha.

That's all for the Hongkong photos! I quite regretted that we chose Hongkong for this trip cause I'm pregnant and can't walk much, so it was quite a waste. :(
Nevertheless, we had a good time over there, and at least Joey get a glimpse of what Hongkong is like! :)

I'm just really dreading for him to go Taiwan again, cause he will be away from me for another 21 days :( Sounds bearable, but it's not!! :(! But on a happier note, his cadets will be commissioning soon right after the Taiwan trip, and he will have more time to spend with me. The next time he will be travelling again will be next year in June!

Alright, this aside, let's talk about the baby!! Those that have been following me on instagram, would have known that me and Joey decided to give Baby a change of name! The father doesn't like the name Tristan anymore, and wants to find a more unique name for his son. Hahaha.

We couldn't come to an agreement at first, cause he wanted to name him Tyler, or Hayden, but I didn't like the names. I suggested Kayden but he doesn't like it too!
AND SO, after much consideration, we finally settled on:

KAYLEN.

How does it sound? :D He even went through the trouble of searching for the name Kaylen on facebook and see if the name was unique enough, and if it suits a boy! I think it is pretty good though :), now we are just waiting for the parents-in-law to decide on the chinese name for the boy!

Last Saturday when we went for the gynae appointment, doctor says that baby looks fine, and everything is okay! His head is already at my pelvis area, but I heard it is very normal since baby is getting ready for birth. How time flies! Another three weeks and I'm entering the third trimester! And when Joey is back from Taiwan, I would be at 30 weeks already. Hahaha.

Energy level is going down again this week, and I find myself getting tired easily. I can't walk much without feeling pain at my knees so basically I just stay at home most of the time, or if I'm heading out, it will usually be dinner or lunch with my friends. I don't go shopping anymore, because I don't really need anything, and the money I usually spend on are all baby products now.

OH YES, Doctor Yeo was very nice!! Did a free 4D scan for baby Kaylen, so we get a rough idea on how he looks like :D I asked my sister, and was told that it can cost up to 300 plus for a 4D scan.

He wasn't in a very good position for a 4D scan, but we can see his little nose, lips and ears very clearly!! AND HE LOOKS SO CHUBBY AND CUTE!!!

That is his arms and fingers hehe.

We did take a video of the process, but it wasn't very clearly taken, so these pictures are screenshots I took from the video.
Baby Kaylen is much MORE active than before, I used to only feel kicks and slight movements around my waist, but now I feel him moving above my belly button and sometimes I even feel them on both sides of my waist! Must be growing pretty fast already this little boy.

There was once I woke up with a jolt because it felt so ticklish when he kicked near my waist area hahaha.

Other than feeling lethargic, everything is fine with the baby now! I can only hope that this baby boy of ours will be able to bring me more laughters and happiness. Things haven't been going smoothly for me, and I've been feeling rather depressed and sad these couple of weeks. Hopefully things will get better.

At least I have these girls around to make me feel better:

With Grace, Clemence, Mandy and Jermayne at Haidilao last week when we met to buy Becca's birthday present! It was an impromptu meet up with Grace, her sister and her son Aiden :D But we had a good meal together.

And this was taken the day after at Becca's place when we celebrated her birthday for her :D Can't wait to spend time with these girls soon! AND TO BRING MILO AND PUFFER TOGETHER ONE DAY. (Milo is my pet rabbit and Puffer is Mandy's pet rabbit hehe.) You can take a look at Puffer on her instagram at @pufferbun and see more pictures of Milo on my instagram @phyllisfatballl.

 Here's a 25 weeks baby bump!

Sorry I took so long to complete this post! I'm always napping now, and I get very lazy sometimes hehe.

ANYWAY, if there is anything, feel free to drop me a question on www.ask.fm/phyllisfatball
I will try my best to reply promptly! :)

Incase if you are wondering if I put on any weight, my pre-pregnancy weight was 60kg, and I'm now at 67.4kg :( IT WILL TAKE ME A LONG TIME TO GET MY WEIGHT BACKKKK. But I will work hard and make sure I look better than I was before!
