Back from ANOTHER Hiatus (Week 19!!)

First of all, thank you for the sweet comments from two anonymous, I really appreciate your words of encouragement, and even though I don't know who you are, I am thankful that there are still kind people around, who show love and compassion. :) I will definitely stay strong and hold on for my dearest Tristan!

Week 13 to Current

Pregnancy has been rather smooth the past few weeks, nausea is COMPLETELY gone now, thank god. And incase you didn't know, we had already found out the gender of our baby at week 16!!

We have been dying to find out the baby's gender since I found out that I was pregnant, and we have been waiting for so long for the week 16 Gynae Appointment! But we were also told not to keep our hopes too high since baby's position is pretty important in order for us to find out the gender.

True enough, guess what? Naughty baby had to be in this weird position!:

You can see the spinal cord developing clearly on the ultra sound screen :)
So he was lying face down (and that's how I usually sleep at night too HAHAHA, with his legs crossed. :( Genitals were TOTALLY HIDDEN! Imagine the distraught and disappointment on both me and Joey's faces. BUT! Dr Yeo was very kind, he told us to wait for about 15 to 20 mins, the baby would probably move, and since the clinic was still pretty empty, he told us to come back later after 1 or 2 patients, to try and take a look at the baby's position again.

Me and Joey really did what we could, and I googled the ways to encourage movement of the baby, so I prodded my belly, kept poking and talking to baby to wake him up and drank cold drinks to stimulate movement. JOEY WAS WORSE. He just grabbed my belly with two hands and start shaking them vigorously. For that entire 20 mins HAHAHAHA.

But it totally worked! Baby was in another entirely different position, and doctor and nurse ask us what we did, why the baby moved so much LOL!

So yes, according the the experienced doctor, it is 99% a BOY!!

Apparently the thing between the leg is the baby's penis. HAHA. Joey was way beyond elated, and kept thanking me for having a boy for him! Immediately called my mom and his parents to inform them about the good news, and parents in law were rather happy that I'm carrying a boy! From then onwards, we started buying all the baby boy clothes already HAHAHA.

Baby bump week (near 19)

The reason why I couldn't find time after the gynae appointment was also because of the preparation of the wedding, and the things I needed to settle before the big day so yeap. Right after the wedding, me and Joey flew to Bali for our honeymoon, and thus still no time for updates! Have also been spending much time with the Husband for the past two weeks since he was going for Brunei for his training, and he just flew off yesterday.

Sent him off together with his family and my parents last night at about 12 midnight! We stayed at the airport for about two hours to have Burger King together, and left after he entered the departure hall.

Joey did fight to stay in Singapore and explained his situation to his Wing comd, but there was shortage of manpower, and apparently it was too late for him to inform since a couple of his colleagues have already been excused for the trip. Thus, they had to drag him to Brunei, and to taiwan, about six weeks from now. Initially I was feeling really sad that he had to leave, but closer to the date, I thought it would be good since I can have some time to my family and with my friends too! Not as if he was leaving for 3 months, it is just about 7 weeks in total - for both his Brunei and Taiwan trip. Just rather worried for his well-being that's all.

If it was me in the past, I would have kicked up a big fuss and complain and whine to him about why he has to leave me in Singapore with the pregnancy and stuff, but I changed, since about 5 months ago. (Honestly, I never changed this much for any other person before, but I decided to change myself for Joey.) And what I feel happy about, is that he is appreciative of what I have done for him. (Though most of the time his anger still takes over him :( )

Every single time he is at work, I would constantly remind him to take his meals, drink up, rest when he can, and try to come home earlier for meals, so that he can have an early rest. I would motivate him and tell him that it is okay, and that me and baby is waiting for him to come home, and that work will be ending soon. I always ask him to hang on there, I know that he is tired and that he is stress at work, but I will always be there to support and wait for him. At times if he ends too late, probably about 2 or 3? I would ask him to stay in camp to rest instead of coming home so he could have more rest.

(Not that I am bragging,) but I was really surprised as to how much I can change for someone I love. For those friends who know me in the past, I am rather unreasonable and I would have blame Joey for not spending enough time with me because of his work. But now, all I wish of him is to have enough rest, and stay healthy. That is more than enough for me, and all I ask from him. And even at times when he loses his temper, lost his mind because of stress and fatigue, I always forgave him in the end, when I saw how apologetic he was, and that I try to understand his situation. Of course, I would always remind him that I believe he can change himself and control his temper and treat people he love with care and respect. I told him if I can change because of my love for him, I am sure he can too. And that was what he promised me before he left for Brunei last night.

(Just hoping for the best for our marriage, our relationship, and that baby Tristan will be born healthy and cute :)  )

Honeymoon in Bali!

We took a 12pm flight one day after our wedding day, off to Indonesia for our 4d3n honeymoon!! We chose Tanadewa Luxury Villa and Spa Resort, since we saw the deal in groupon.

Our take on this resort? Pretty good for a price of SGD588 for 4d3n, considering that we have a private pool, and that it is a two storey resort. Their service is pretty good, just that there isn't any nice places to walk around near the resort, and not much food to eat. Bali food sucks. There was nothing fantastic that we ate over there, not even the seafood! Total disappointment. :( Nevertheless, we enjoyed the resort and our indo mie Mee Goreng HAHAH.

Oh, we bought our selfie stick at the airport at about 30SGD! The first thing we did after reaching the resort was to strip to our swimwear and take a swim. Weather was last warning hot!!

(You can see the video of our resort I posted in my instagram @phyllisfatballl ! <- br="" ls="" three="" with="">

And that's hubby and baby bump. (At week 17) Hahaha.

And our bathtub filled with rose petals. I DROPPED MY WHOLE FRIGGING PHONE INTO THE BATHTUB WHILE TAKING SELFIES AFTER THIS PHOTO :( Luckily it worked after two days LOL.

And here are some nice places that we went, and the nice photos that we took :)

This was taken at some beach, but I forgot the name. It was a long and horrible climb down to the beach, and the sand was rough and difficult to step on. But clear water and cliffs!

And the Sunset we captured at Uluwatu temple.

Our very amazing tourguide took our pictures for us! His name was Wayan, and provided excellent service for us for two days! About 55sgd per day, he brought us out from 9am till about 9pm for the both days, excluding the entrance fees for the certain places that we visited.

And we interacted with monkeys! Thanks to me, I suggested buying bananas before we reach the place, since I know that the people there will sure extort our money, and sell the bananas at an expensive price. I bought one whole bunch of bananas for only SGD0.70, and they were selling about 5 pieces of bananas at about SGD4, SO EXPENSIVE CAN.
Having our awful breakfast at the Resort's 'Restaurant':

But view was pretty amazing though!

Water temple!
OUR AMAZING VIEW FOR LUNCH! (It was buffet, and it wasn't too awful, but still not delicious.) But the view was just amazing!!
It's a volcano by the way!

 I know, I look pretty chubby :(

Coffee tasting for free at coffee plantation!

Dinner at Jimbaran Beach Restaurant:
Just in time for sunset!

With baby bump hehehe.

Turtle Island: About 25SGD per person. Quite worth it since we haven't had encounters with turtles before! It was initally 35SGD, but our tourguide got the discount for us!

I look scared cause my baby turtle was flapping non stop and it was hurting my hand LOL.
 BAT EWWWW!
 Our priceless expressions lolol
 AND THIS HAHAHAHAHAHA:

Turtles were super adorable! But I think very poor thing cause they are captured for interaction with human :(

At Tanah Lot temple:

 Tasted like Ondeh Ondeh!

 After blessing by the monk!
Okay, that pretty much sums up our honeymoon!

But that week I was quite unlucky, I don't know what is wrong, but nothing seem to go well for me!!!

1) I sprained my toe the night before the wedding, and it was so swollen that I had to limp when I walked the next day. ON THE DAY OF THE WEDDING -_-

2) I broke my pinky nail in Bali, and the entire nail almost came off, (still waiting for it to drop)

3) I dropped my phone into the bathtub by accident.

4) I lost my sister's hat in Bali because it was flown away by the wind into the sea :(

5) While departing Bali airport, me and dear didn't have enough cash to pay for airport tax, and we had to borrow money from Singaporeans T_T

I have never been so unlucky before lor! Don't know what is wrong with my luck that week!

OH YES JUST INCASE YOU DIDN'T NOTICE, I CUT MY HAIR SHORT!!! (First time in my life HAHAHAHA)

I decided to cut my hair because I am bored of my hair, and I am super sick of my damaged and dry hair. It was too long, and the roots couldn't get the nutrients they need! So I chopped off all the damaged hair. Secondly, for confinement, since I can't wash my hair, I decided that shorter hair will be easier to manage.

I thought I would regret after a few days, BUT NO. I love my short hair, and it is so much hassle-free now! Thankfully I changed my hairstylist and salon, because my previous hairstylist was always very discouraging about me wanting to go for short hair. Kept telling me I don't suit, and that my face shape doesn't compliment short hair -_-!

But my new hair stylist Anson told me it was bullshit and that my face shape can suit long and short hair! So I went ahead and let him experiment and recommend hair colours to me, and I LOVE IT.

He is Anson from Russell Salon at Jurong Point by the way, and happen to be my friend Torance's hairstylist too! Highly recommended.

Alright! I will leave the rest for the next post, and I will be talking about baby's movements, natural birth/ c-section, wedding photos (ALMOST HERE) and.... confinement.

Till then!
